Mesotherapy

Achieving radiant and glowing skin has been the sole mission of the cosmetic industry since the dawn of time but the inevitable process of aging has thrown some obstacles in the way. A French doctor, named Michel Pistor, came up with a treatment for pain relief in 1952. Eventually, the technique was used for skin and hair rejuvenation and was developed as what is now known as mesotherapy.

Mesotherapy is a procedure that delivers small doses of enzymes, vitamins, hormones and plant extracts to the middle layer of the skin through a series of injections. Using tiny needles, professional aestheticians address the underlying issues of most skin problems. As every patient has individual needs, there isn’t one standard set of medications - after an in-depth analysis of the current skin conditions and a consultation with a medical professional, a tailor-made formula of medications is injected into the body, based on the patient’s specific goals and needs.

The treatment tackles internal problems, such as inflammation and poor blood circulation, which in turn cause numerous external skin issues. Despite that the procedure involves needles, it is relatively painless. It is in fact a lot less invasive than many popular cosmetic treatments and plastic surgeries.

What is Mesotherapy?

What Result Can You Expect?

The mesolifting technique is used to treat a number of troubled skin areas, such as wrinkles, dullness and fat pockets. Most commonly, the therapy helps with spot and cellulite reduction as well as weight loss. By providing a boost of nutrients, minerals,  vitamins and other potent ingredients, the procedure promotes blood circulation as well as collagen and elastin production thus hydrating and rejuvenating the skin.

Mesotherapy is an effective solution for treating pigmentation, fine lines, melasma, other signs of aging as well as unwanted fat. It is your go-to method when trying to achieve youthful and plump skin as the treatment aims to restore the skin’s natural elasticity, brighten its tone and provide an overall healthier look.

This procedure has also proven very successful in dealing with the external skin-damaging factors like sun exposure, pollution and stress. Premature aging of the skin is widely attributed to those circumstances and the facial treatments work on reversing the aging signs, such as dry and dull skin, dark spots and circles, hyperpigmentation and sagginess.

Are the Results Long-term?

Although Mesotherapy is recommended for all skin types, the results may vary. Depending on the complexity of the skin conditions you need treated and the number of sessions you have undergone, the results may last between 12 to 18 months.

How Many Treatments Do You Need?

With mesotherapy you can see great improvement of your skin after just one treatment. However, you may need to do several sessions in order to achieve your desired results. Generally, specialists recommend about six facial mesotherapy sessions, performed 2-4 weeks apart.

Is There Any Downtime?

The concoction of nutrient-rich medications is delivered through fine needles which means that a long recovery isn’t needed. You can resume your daily activities right away. However, specialists advise that patients who have just undergone mesotherapy should not put make-up on their face for at least 24 hours. Keeping the skin completely clean, following the procedure, is vital for a speedy recovery.

Am I a Candidate?

Mesotherapy is recommended for everyone who wants to improve their skin complexion, remove excessive fat, wrinkles, fine lines, or just to make their skin and neck look rejuvenated. Naturally, always consult with a medical professional and keep in mind any health issues you currently have.
